Plant-floor Wi-Fi, cameras on the docks, and an office network kept apart from the machines, for shops answering supplier security questionnaires.

## The problems we hear first

- Wi-Fi dies past the first row of racking, so scanners and tablets fall back to paper.
- A customer or prime contractor sent a cybersecurity questionnaire with a deadline.
- The machines on the floor run software nobody can patch, on the same network as email.
- The office IT person is also the ERP admin, the phone person, and the one who resets the badge system.

## What we typically deploy

- **Plant-floor wireless.** Surveyed coverage across high bays, steel racking, and moving equipment, with access points rated for the environment.
- **OT segmentation.** Machines, controllers, and legacy systems on their own network segment, reachable by the people who need them and nothing else.
- **Cameras & access control.** Docks, yards, and controlled areas covered, with door credentials tied to the HR process so a badge dies the day the employee leaves.
- **Compliance readiness.** Gap analysis against NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC where your contracts call for it, with the technical controls managed and the evidence kept.

## Where clients here usually start

Usually the plant network and cameras first, then a managed agreement that covers the office and the floor. Lead service: [Low Voltage](https://lnxinc.com/services/low-voltage/).

## Common questions

**Can you help with CMMC or NIST 800-171?** Yes, as readiness work. We run a gap analysis against the level your contract requires, put the technical controls in place under the managed agreement, and keep the evidence. Certification comes from an authorized assessor, not from us.

**Can you install in a running plant?** Yes. Cable runs, access points, and cameras go in around production, on off shifts or planned downtime, with lift work scheduled with your safety lead.

**Why should the shop floor be a separate network?** Production equipment often runs software that cannot be patched. On its own segment, a phishing email opened in the office cannot reach a controller on the floor, and the question on the customer questionnaire gets a yes.
