# Managed IT and low voltage in West Bloomfield, MI

Campuses, medical offices, and the plazas along Orchard Lake Road. West Bloomfield Township is mostly homes and lakes. Its offices and shops sit along Orchard Lake, Maple, and Haggerty roads, and around them are sites with several buildings on one property: community campuses, houses of worship, schools, and the medical offices that grew up near Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital on West Maple. Those sites need cameras and door access that work as one system across every building, and a network that does not depend on a single closet.

## What the work looks like in West Bloomfield

- Cameras and access control across multi-building campuses: one system, one set of credentials, and doors that lock and unlock on a schedule.
- Separate Wi-Fi for staff, guests, and devices, and battery backup on the equipment that has to stay up.
- Links between buildings by fiber or point-to-point wireless, so one site runs as one network.
- Managed IT, email security, and backup for medical and professional offices along Orchard Lake and Maple.

## Common questions

**Can one system cover every building on our campus?** Yes, once the buildings are linked. We connect them with fiber or point-to-point wireless, then run cameras and access control from one platform, so staff use one app and one set of credentials. Where buildings already have different systems, we say which can stay, which should be replaced, and why.

**What should stay running during a power cut?** The internet connection, the core network switches, the Wi-Fi access points staff rely on, the door access controllers, and the camera recorder. Each needs battery backup sized to cover the time until power or a generator returns. We list the equipment and its runtime in the quote.
