# Terms of use The terms that apply to using lnxinc.com. Client service agreements are separate and take precedence over these terms. **Effective date: September 20, 2026.** These terms govern your use of lnxinc.com (the "site"), operated by LNX Inc. ("LNX", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. Work we do for you is governed by a signed proposal, quote, or service agreement, and if anything here conflicts with one of those documents, the agreement controls. ## Using the site You may browse, read, link to, and quote the site, including through automated tools and AI assistants. When you quote it, attribute the content to LNX Inc. and link back where practical. You agree not to: - use the site to send unsolicited communications or to harvest contact details; - attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting, or any related system; - interfere with the site's operation, for example by flooding it with requests; - misrepresent our content as your own, or present altered versions of it as ours; - submit false, misleading, or infringing content through the contact form. ## Information on the site We keep the site current, but the pricing structures, scope descriptions, timelines, and technical details shown here are general. Anything that matters is confirmed in writing in a quote or agreement, and that document is what we stand behind. Nothing on the site is a guarantee of a particular result or response time. ## Contact form submissions Information you send through the contact form is handled as described in our [privacy policy](/privacy/). Sending a message does not create a client relationship or any obligation on our part until an agreement is signed. ## Intellectual property The text, photographs, graphics, layout, and code of the site belong to LNX Inc. or are used under license. The LNX name, the LNX mark, and the lockup are trademarks of LNX Inc. Partner names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify the products we sell and support. No trademark license is granted by your use of the site. ## Open source Software published from our GitHub organization is licensed under the terms in each repository, typically the MIT license. Those licenses, not these terms, govern that code. That software is provided as is, without warranty, as the license states. ## Third-party links and embeds The site links to and may embed third-party services, such as our support portal. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Their own terms apply. ## Disclaimer The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, LNX disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, regarding the site and its content. ## Limitation of liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, LNX will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them limits liability under a signed service agreement, which has its own terms. ## Indemnity You agree to indemnify LNX against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms. ## Governing law and disputes These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction. ## Changes We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are announced on the [news](/news/) page.
