Accessibility statement

The standard lnxinc.com is built to (WCAG 2.2 AA), what has been done to meet it, and how to tell us when something is in the way.

Last updated

LNX Inc. wants everyone to be able to use lnxinc.com, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or reduced motion. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance for websites and by Section 508.

What we have done

  • Structure. Every page has one main heading, a logical heading order, and landmark regions (header, navigation, main, footer), so assistive technology can jump straight to the content. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing on every page.
  • Keyboard. Everything you can do with a mouse, you can do with a keyboard, including the Solutions menu, the service switcher on the home page (arrow keys move between tabs), the contact form, and the cookie notice. The focused element always has a visible outline.
  • Contrast. Text and interactive elements meet the AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and controls. Where the brand's bright cyan is used for text on light backgrounds, a darker tone is used so it passes.
  • Text. Body text is at least 16 pixels, the layout reflows down to a 320-pixel-wide screen without horizontal scrolling, and browser zoom is never disabled.
  • Images. Photographs carry descriptive alternative text. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Forms. Every field has a visible label, required fields are marked in text as well as with an asterisk, and errors are announced and explained next to the field they concern.
  • Motion. The site has no animation that plays on its own, and hover effects are removed when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Consent. The cookie notice is a labeled region that can be operated and dismissed with the keyboard and does not trap focus.
  • Testing. Every build is checked automatically for missing alternative text, heading structure, and broken links, and audited with the axe-core accessibility engine before it is published.

Known limitations

  • PDF documents we send to clients are prepared separately and are outside the scope of this statement.
