Managed IT and low voltage in Troy, MI

Our home office, in a city of offices that have had many tenants.

LNX Inc. is based on Wheaton Drive in Troy. Most of the city's office space sits along Big Beaver Road, in towers and low-rises built from the mid-1970s on, and much of it has been re-leased several times. Some of it is now being converted to apartments. In buildings with that many tenant changes we expect abandoned cable above the ceiling, closets nobody has a drawing for, and network gear older than the lease. We plan the work around what is actually there.

In Troy

What the work looks like here.

  • Tenant build-outs and moves along Big Beaver: we survey the existing cable, remove what is dead, and leave labelled, tested runs and a closet drawing.
  • Electronic locks tied to the fire alarm need a Troy Fire Department permit. We plan access control around that and coordinate door releases with your fire alarm contractor.
  • Flex and industrial buildings along Stephenson Highway and Maple Road: cameras, Wi-Fi that covers the shop floor, and one network for office and warehouse.
  • Managed IT, security monitoring, and low-voltage work under one contract, from an office a short drive away.

Who we work with

If it has a network, a door, or a camera, we work on it.

Common questions

Before you call.

More plain answers →

Where is your office?

1395 Wheaton Dr Suite 500, Troy, MI 48083. Call (833) 569-5690 before stopping by.

Do electronic door locks in Troy need a permit?

If the lock is connected to or released by the fire alarm, yes. The Troy Fire Department requires a permit before any fire alarm component is installed or changed, and its rule names magnetic locks and electronic locks. Locks that are not tied to the fire alarm are a building department question. We confirm which applies before we quote.

Should we register our cameras with Troy police?

It is your choice. Troy Police run the voluntary Extra Eyes camera registry: after an incident nearby they may ask registered owners to review or share footage, and they never get direct access to your cameras. Details are on the Extra Eyes page.

Can you look at our office before quoting?

Yes. We look at the space, the stack, or the drawing set before quoting anything, and the quote is a fixed written scope.

Tell us what's in front of you.

A drawing set, a failing switch, an audit deadline, or a hunch that IT costs too much. We'll tell you who picks it up and what it takes.
