Managed IT and low voltage in Rochester Hills, MI

Engineering offices, light manufacturing, and a university town next door.

Rochester Hills is where Oakland County's automotive engineering and light manufacturing meet its residential north. Along M-59, Auburn Road, and the Hamlin and Adams corridors are suppliers, test labs, machine shops, and the offices of companies that design parts for the plants elsewhere. Oakland University sits on the city's northern edge, and downtown Rochester is next door. The buildings are newer than Troy's or Southfield's, which helps the cabling, but the mix of office and shop floor in one building is what shapes most of our work here.

In Rochester Hills

What the work looks like here.

  • Office-and-shop buildings: one network for the engineers and the floor, with the machines and test equipment on their own segment, Wi-Fi that reaches the high bay, and cameras over the docks.
  • Suppliers with customer security questionnaires: managed IT and cybersecurity with the evidence a customer, an insurer, or a CMMC readiness review asks for. See [manufacturing](/industries/manufacturing/).
  • Medical and dental practices along Rochester Road and near the hospital: email security, backup, and access logs for a HIPAA risk analysis.
  • New buildings and build-outs along M-59: structured cabling, fiber between buildings, and access control installed to the drawing set with closeout documentation.

Common questions

Before you call.

More plain answers →

How far is Rochester Hills from your offices?

The Troy office is directly south along Rochester Road, and the Pontiac office is west along M-59. On-site support and project crews are scheduled from either.

Can you put machines and office computers on separate networks?

Yes, and we recommend it. Production equipment, test rigs, and building systems go on their own segment with rules about what can reach them, so an infected laptop in the office does not touch the floor and a vendor's remote access is limited to the one machine they support.

A customer sent us a cybersecurity questionnaire. Can you help?

Yes. We review what is asked, put the missing controls in, and produce the evidence from the tools. For defense-related work we map the same controls to NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC readiness; certification itself comes from an authorized assessor.

Tell us what's in front of you.

A drawing set, a failing switch, an audit deadline, or a hunch that IT costs too much. We'll tell you who picks it up and what it takes.
